I was just told that I can't take my HTC One X to Straight talk. The girl at the AT&T store stated that it will not work cause straight talk does not support 4G and I would have no Web access? Is any of this true. She also tried to tell me that you can't turn off 4G on the one X because the 4G and 3G radio are one in the same.

I would personally talk to someone who sells Straight Talk. Not a sales rep for a competing company. They're not going to say "yeah, go here and pay half of what you do monthly. We really want to loose your business."
As for the 4g that is probably true. There is no toggle to turn it off.

You can talk to Straight Talk for a straight answer.
They sell plans on all the major carriers, including at&t.

As long as the sim is unlocked, will work. It uses the exact same towers.

I'm using my one x on straight talk. Using the straight talk at&t sim card and the only thing to do in the phone is change the apn which is super easy. You don't get lte but hspa+ works well for data.

Get the micro SIM and get the apn should work but please do call straight talk for better answers.

I use my HTC one x on straight talk with no problem and my 4g works great ;)

I have so many questions. Do you have an AT&T branded or a T-Mobile branded One X? Where do you live? Do you have a Straight Talk AT&T sim or a Straight Talk sim from T-Mobile? Are you able to share your settings?

The AT&T rep was mostly very wrong. I'm using a LOCKED AT&T HTC One X on Straight Talk with no issues. Blazing fast 4G speed/data etc. So fast that it's on par with wi-fi.

Any AT&T locked fon will work with a Straight Talk SIM compatible with the AT&T network.

I merely pulled the Straight Talk (AT&T compatible) SIM card from my iPhone and installed it in my HTC One X. Worked instantly. Of course, had to set up email accounts, google voice, etc.

You know the Straight Talk plans use the AT&T network, right?

Almost any phone can work and doesn't necessarily need to be unlocked.
Example at&t phones use at&t branded straight talk Sims
Tmobile phones use the pink straight talk Sims.
There is a kit that comes with all Sims even a cdma activation card plus a month data card for about 60 bucks at Wal-Mart. Data is good but throttle threshold is around 100mb/day or 2.5gb/month. When you are throttled you will know. That's the only downside. Just use WiFi to download stuff and it works great
