Preorders for the HTC One started today 4/4/2013. I advised my brother to pre order the phone so that he could receive the 90$ value HTC Media Link HD Wireless HDMI Adapter but he says that AT&T told him that they already ran out!? The deal is supposed to be good through 4/18/2013 is there any way that this could be true? Can anyone else confirm that they no longer have any HDMI adapters available free from preorder?

Only AT&T would know. I'd call back again just to verify.

Just went through the steps on their site and it adds it just fine.

I just spend about an hour on the phone and no dice. They are offering no new offer what so ever to replace the original and all they would tell me is that it was an offer made with the stipulation that it was, "while supplies last". I spend most of the day yesterday trying to get my pre-order to go through and now I can't even take advantage of the offer that they had. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy that I'm able to get the phone in a timely fashion, but an offer is an offer. Had AT&T not had that offer I would have pre-ordered from Best Buy, at least they would have made good on their offer.

I went into a AT&T corporate store this afternoon and ordered the phone with the media link without issue.

What are you talking about? I literally just went through the preorder and it added to the cart without any problems.

When I tried to use orderthe first few times using firefox browser it said out of stock for the
HTC? Media Link HD Wireless HDMI Adapter so i called att and they said it was while supplies last and they were sold out. I got mad and you know the rest. Tried to order using firefox again and got the same out of stock message. I don't know why but I tried again but I used internet explorer and it let me add the adapter this time and complete my order

I didn't mean to offend you, I was just telling of my experience. If you're of the opinion that I've fabricated this exciting tale, I can assure you that I have far better things to do than lie to people I've never met. I appreciate your passion for the topic though. Good for you.

i tried to preorder the 64GB version thursday night through the premier store and the media link was sold out. went to a corporate store after work yesterday and they told me that they couldnt preorder it for me yet and id have to do it online myself. when i got home i tried again and the media link was back in stock and i was able to order it.

It seems that the best way to preorder and get the MediaLink is online, but even then it seems that the status of the offer fluctuates so hopefully you get lucky. My brother ended up pre-ordering the 64GB HTC One from AT&T for $300, but got a $90 refund to his purchase so he only paid a little over $200 for the 64GB One. He's content.

I tried to preorder the One online and the page said to get medialink you have to add it on next page. Click next and there is no media link to be found.

So I went to a corporate store and asked the reps about preordering and the medialink and neither one new anything about it. They were like we can preorder it but we dont have any of the accessories now. I told them that the medialink was supposed to come with a preorder and one rep said well once we get the accessories and if you dont get one with your preorder ill give you one. I dont think he realized it was a $100 accessory but im gonna hold him to it.
It amazes me that from google I can learn more about ATT's policies and products than the goddamn sales reps.

It seems like they are in stock online. I want to pre-order the 32GB version, but it is showing as 299.99 in my cart. What's up with that? Will it show 199.99 on the final checkout or something?

From what I understand, they add the cost of the media link in the cart and then rebate it at the end of checkout, but i cannot verify, thats just what I read around the net and on their website(att's).

Took me months to get my HTC Media Link from the Android Central store, and having only briefly played with it, I'm not yet impressed with it's capabilities. Seems like the only thing that works is YouTube, no Google Play video's unfortunately.

They do add the cost of the HDMI adapter which means that it is not actually "free". So even though you are eligible for an upgrade (which you would normally get $200 credit for) instead you pay $299 - $199 (only $100 rebate instead of the $200 you would get on any other phone) and receive a "free" $90 HDMI adapter.
