AT&T pushing an update to ICS Vivids

Just received this on my stock ICS Vivid from AT&T:

"AT&T Free Msg: An important update is available for your phone via WiFi only. On your HTC Vivid, please connect & remain in WiFi coverage, then go to Settings > AT&T Software Update > Check for updates"

Haven't got that message yet. Maybe it depends on what part of the country you're in?

I just ran an update check over wifi and was told no update was available.

Yeah, I received that message today too. I had already updated from my PC with the downloaded file from HTC's site. I thought maybe there was some new security release or something, so I checked anyway. Guess not. It said I was up to date. I'm in Los Angeles, btw.

Odd. I'm in Idaho and had updated via OTA. For giggles I went ahead and redid the upgrade using the RUU from HTC Support's site.

I'm curious -- when you did the first upgrade OTA, did you have to reinstall your apps? After doing it from the PC, I had to, a major PITA.

Using OTA, no. Using the RUU though, yes.
