AT&T rooted with Dev edition and lollipop SLOW data speeds

Rooted my m8 not long ago with the bright star Dev ROM and lately I've noticed that data speeds are extremely slow, and I keep seeing H show up every so often instead of LTE in places I never did before rooting.

Even on LTE my speeds suck.

For example, I'm currently in little rock, LTE showing, speed test.net shows a server out of Richardson Texas for some ridiculous reason, with ping 48, and less than 1m on both upload and download speeds.

Anyone have any suggestions?

While I did not have real trouble with the International Dev firmware and modem, I did repackage the ATT 4.4.4 modem when updating to the Rogers 4.20 firmware. So, if you grab the ATT modem from the 4.4.4 update, and overwrite the modem in whatever firmware version you want to use, it will use the ATT modem without issue. Here is mine for example-


I replaced the modem in the Rogers firmware (from skydragon ROM thread on XDA) with the one from the ATT 4.4.4 update, and it has been working fine. You do need SOFF to flash firmware though, not sure what you can do without that.

Thanks. I am S-Off and Rooted/Unlocked. I'm not sure if I want to go to that route quite yet, I have a feeling it's just the area I am in this week. It seems very sporadic, sometimes it runs great other times not so much.
