I finally called my AT&T store where my phone was delivered this morning. I told the rep who answered that I had pre-ordered the Atrix, I saw that it arrived and I wanted to pick it up this afternoon. He said "We don't have any pre-ordered in yet." I said actually I have the tracking number and it says it was delivered this morning. So he puts me on hold.
Paraphrasing: "Yeah, we have your phone but my manager says we can't give it to you until tomorrow."
Me: "Why?"
Him: "Because it doesn't officially launch until tomorrow and [some BS about IMEI numbers] and we could get fined for activating it early."
I hung up. What a load of crap. So, anyone else getting screwed over by their AT&T store?
