What makes you say it's not a security update? You have the July security patch. Mine updated also, but I believe it was on June before the update, not July.

Pretty sure the July security patch was released with Oreo last month.

It was a really small update.... downloaded and rebooted in less than 5 minutes start to finish. July security update for me.

For anyone on AT&T who has not gotten the most recent update (but HAS gotten the ThinQ update) yet: do you have the bright mode in the camera app?

It was recently reported as being included in the latest Verizon update, and I have it on AT&T now, but I'm just curious whether this is new now or we already had it and I never noticed because it has to be really dark to get the little popup icon about it, and I didn't poke around a lot in the new settings to see it there.

I have it now. noticed it last month after last update with Thin Q branding.
