My V10 just insisted that I do an update. It was a fast one so I assume that it was tiny.

When it was finished it is still on 5.1.1 so I went to the finger print scanner setting and gave it the old college try.

I have a case that almost completely covers the stainless steel band. So I tried to make the FPS work without touching the band and it works like a dream. Just like it did before I put a case on.

Thank you AT&T for getting with the program.

Actually they sent that update a long time ago (Near the middle of January). A little after I bought mine. Did you just get the phone? Because AT&T normally sends a maintenance update before upgrading the OS.

I got my phone about January 15th. I religiously hit the software update every morning. And this morning it told me the same as always, software is up to date.

About noon I get a pop up saying a software update is ready for my phone and yada, yada, yada, to quote Seinfeld.

So what is the point of the software updater if it doesn't do a fracking thing? And why would AT&T wait a month and a half to push this stupid update to my phone. I've been kinda pissed that I couldn't use my FPS.

I have had my AT&T V10 for several months now and I got the same notification. I didn't even research to see what the update was for. I was hoping it was MM but after it only took maybe 6-8 min to do it, I was pretty sure it wasn't. Still on 5.0!

Checked the link's info. My phone info matches.

So I stand by my statement, what is the point of the fracking updater if it doesn't do a fracking thing?

And what's the deal with AT&T waiting a month and a half to send the fracking update to my phone. Lousy Turd Burglars.
