I'm a recent convert to Android from Blackberry. I've had my Droid 3 for about a month now and so far, i'm a lot happier with it than the BB. I haven't had a lot of the issues that have been mentioned here except that I have to agree that the camera does suck. I have the latest update and don't have the blue tinted pics but the camera is slow to focus and takes crummy pics that are more often than not blurry.

Anyway, to reason I'm posting is that I can't seem to connect to my home network with my Droid. I have no problem connecting to other networks neither do I have issues connecting to my home network with other devices. The network shows up on the phone but when I enter the proper password for the network, simply wont connect. I haven't tried connecting to another AT&T Uverse network so I don't know if its an issue with Uverse itself though I can't see why it would be. If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this issue, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Well first off, from one BB convert to another, welcome! Secondly about the pictures, I do not know if it works after the update, but I found that they are better if you go with the 8mp instead of the preset 6mp fit to screen. Worth a try... As for the router issue, again I do not know which router you have but my Belkin has something of an auto connect button that I used to get mine set up. Mine was near the green light on the front of the router... Slim chance it will help but I hope it does.

I also just bought the D3 yesterday 12-21-2011 and was a convert from the BB Bold community. My D3 does not sync with my microsoft router even though I go into the wireless network manager and tell it to accept the device. No IP address.

Either way the problem gets worse in that this D3 should revert back to the 3G network and download apps but it does not because it says the apps need WIFI due to file size.

Help!

A Microsoft router? That must be pretty old. (Is it the MN-700? That is pretty old.)

With WiFi issues, it's always helpful to try turning security off on the router temporarily to see if it will connect with no security. Anyway, if the router is as old as I think it may be, it may be time to retire it and get something more contemporary. If you are using WPA for security, some Android phones have a problem with some routers that use TKIP encryption. If you can change it to AES, you can try that.

As for the second problem, it sounds like you have settings->Battery & Data Manager->Data Saver turned on. Try turning that off. Of course, 3G will burn more battery than WiFi, but that will at least get you your data and apps.
