at&t world phone screen stuck

I'm not sure what happened but when I powered my phone back on it goes to the at&t world phone screen and sits there it will not start up just says at&t world phone. I'm not sure what to do I heard about ODIN and resetting my phone by going into download mode but when I try that i just get a black screen that says... update media, please wait... and it sits there instead of sitting at the at&t world phone screen.

I would take it to at&t and get a new one but my warrentee is void because it fell into a puddle 6 months ago and has worked like a champ since until now when it does this. And I can't get an upgrade for another 5 months so I'm stuck with a broken phone... is there anyway to fix the problem or am I S.O.L.

Have you tried plugging it in to Odin from the update media screen? If not, give it a try and see if it shows up.
