AT&T Xperia X10a

How in the world can I get rid of all of at7t's useless stuff on my phone?
I understand that "debranding" or "flashing" may be the only answers.
If so, does anyone know a safe way to do either one? I am not a whiz at the
whole android world so I could use all the instruction possible!

You have to debrand your phone. This makes it a generic Xperia with no AT&T software. Plus you can update to 2.1 after you do this.
