So I have now had my HOX for about 8 days. With ATT's return police I only get 14 days to return it. So the question remains...Do I keep the device?

Like others I have had some small minor issues with the phone. Bluetooth in my car doesn't always work, data for me has only cut out 3-4 times...But in a short while that is a lot. WiFi issues can also be annoying.

What I do love about the HOX though...The screen! its huge and so amazing. Camera seems to work just fine and the battery life is 237843278324 times better than my old Evo 3D. ATT's network is nice too. Sense 4.0! SO far I'm fan but with a few worries about it...

So really whats the catch here? I like to have the newest device out when I buy a new phone. Now I know if I always do this I will be waiting forever! I just have some worry in the future...

1) I hear 1.85 does NOT fix the radio issues. WiFi is still a problem...At the same time I haven't even seen a list of items that it does fix or what it brings to the table. While I know deep down its more than likely just a software issue I still think to my self...Why are the big fixes taking so long? I mean with my Evo 3D they had OTA's out within days...Not weeks or months. (Granted it have yet to even be a month old! Just saying is all...It seems like ages.) Now I know what you will say...Its more than likely an ATT issue and I bet your correct. But if 1.85 doesn't fix the issues then maybe HTC is spending more time on other projects. I don't know. If they would let us know that they are working on the "software issues" so that way we know that its the real issue I would be a lot happier. Again I have yet to personally use this build and I wont because I don't want to root and unlock. So I have no choice but to wait for the OTA.

2) HTC Multitasking issues? Well I can't say its an issue YET. My worry is in the future. When apps are updated. Can this single change on JUST HTC devices mess up our use of apps? Sounds sorta stupid but it still brings a worry to me.

3) The rumor of FB buying HTC. What a train wreck this would be! It will bring back the nightmare that was Palm and HP. While I loved Palm, HP came in and ruined it. Don't think I need to go in to much detail here. I think we all know that story! But its there. Likelyhood? Not really happening. I know this.

Anyways I'm sorry for the small rant. Sometimes I just need to vent. So far I do enjoy this device its just hard to decide in such a small amount of time. Keep the HOX or move on until the SIII comes out?

While I am a new customer on ATT I do have a dumb phone to hold me over in case I want to hold out. The one thing that I don't regret is moving carriers. ATT > Sprint in my area. The local corp store was VERY nice and the CS seems to be awesome so far! I know many hate their CS but so far they have been good to me!

SO my fellow AC friends...Convince me to keep my HOX or tell me why I should move on?! Your ideas and comments are welcome from any angle! Thank you much in advance! I would like to hear your opinion on the matter!

Cheers folks...

I really like this phone and I switch all the time. I think you'll need to decide if it fits your lifestyle needs. I think ICS is great, I love Android and this phone has been rock solid. I do sometimes have WiFi issues but honestly, LTE in my area is faster than my home internet... which is very sad, haha.

I hear the galaxy s3 is getting similar reviews to the HTC one x.

You should have 30 days with AT&T.

That being said, I took my HOX back to AT&T and later bought an International version. I have been much happier with the International version, though I can't say exactly why. It doesn't have the SMS notification bug, multitasking seems to be slightly better, and I can wirelessly tether for free.

You're either going to like it, or you're not. I don't see HTC drastically changing the way multitasking works. Maybe a slight tweak here and there. I was livid about the way it works initially, but have learned to live with it. Maybe I have just become more tolerant. I still don't think you can beat the screen or camera on this device.

No way am I taking mine back. I may buy a gsm nexus to play with as a second phone when I get bored but I absolutely love this device. LTE is so much better on it than it was on my vzw nexus. As much as I loved vanilla android that device had major connectivity issues. I switch devices 4 or 5 times a year and this is my favorite one I've had in the last few years. The multitasking is the only thing that bothers me but I've learned to deal with it due to the overall great package that the One X is

Indeed. My favorite phone screen to date. iPhone was my previous favorite screen but the One X is just as nice and much larger. And I love the build of this phone. I wasn't impressed with it from looking at the reviews and what not but once I held one in the store I was sold on it. S4 processor, camera, battery life, screen, build/looks, and at least in my case compared to my vzw gnex, excellent reception make this phone a keeper for me. I haven't experienced any of the wifi or network issues others have though. The multitasking is the only slight issue for me and I just find myself closing programs that I'm not using to deal with this. Runkeeper, nav, pandora, etc all run properly in the background for me and that's all I really need. 16gb has always been enough for me, even with the iPhone. I only have a couple hundred songs and I have 25gb with drop box and 50gb with box and just save all my pics there and delete from my device if needed.
