Did anyone notice better service after the update? My phone never had more than 3 bars at home and after the update I'm at 5 bars all the time. I checked my girls note 8 before she updated and same thing. I hope that's the case and not just a trick they did to recalibrate the icon to show more.

That would be great if that's really the case. More bars is always a good thing.

Bars don't tell you the actual strength of your signal. You need to go into setting about phone and sim status. There you will see a signal strength in dbm the higher that number the worse your signal is.

just looked at this number, after complaining frequently that I have cruddy service where I am (remote). my numbers were -115 dBm 25 asu. does this bear me out? Sprint gives me an airave for free...

thanks!

Mine is around that where I live, but I just have wifi calling set up so I don't mind that. Sprint is killing me lately with their service, they are in the process of a massive network upgrade to roll out 5g by end of year so they say.
