Android Central Question

My galaxy s6 edge has been stuck in a boot loop. I have not dropped it or anything. Last night, about 12 hours ago, I took it out of my pocket and it wasn't turning on. Once I got home and plugged it in, I was relieved to see the charging indicator. However, upon returning about five minutes later, I turned it on, only to see nothing happen except the charging indicator flash on the screen again. I then attempted to boot it into safe mode, which brought me to the "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge-Powered by Android" screen (which is the first thing I usually see when powering on my phone). Normally after this screen, I see the Samsung logo, and then the AT&T logo. But instead the display turned off, and then showed the same screen again. Then it just went into a loop of this sequence. This only happens when it is plugged in. When it is not, nothing happens-the display doesn't turn on or anything.

Welcome to Android Central! The battery might be failing, or it could be a problem with the motherboard. You'll probably have to bring it to a repair shop -- sorry!
