ATT updates ?

Apple updates frequently their software, but I don't seem to see any updates for my sons Galaxy S5.

Do the Androids not update as much as Apple, or do Verizon and ATT do independent updates etc?

Who send the updates or notifications?

AT&T is a little slow a times.... As by my signature below, you can see I update my phone before AT&T pushes the software....
