ATT Voicemail icon at top of screen

[Android Central Question]

How do I remove a locked icon? There is an ATT New Voicemail icon at the top of my screen that won't go away. It has a lock on it. The Notification settings can be used but, the clear button isn't useable. Also, the voicemail asks for a password or mailbox number and it isn't my voicemail box.

Welcome to Android Central! Has this always been your phone? Have you already tried contacting AT&T's customer support? AT&T themselves should be controlling your voicemail -- it's probably not something you adjust on your phone. Maybe there's a voicemail you saved that you forgot about?

It wont clear unless you unlock it and enter your password if you dont remember then suggest what B. Diddy mentioned and call your carrier
