Ok I have had my phone for about a week now and overall im loving it. One of the biggest things im missing right now though is wireless charging. I know the US ATT model supports neither out of the box but what are my options? I would prefer not to HAVE to switch to PMA Powermat if I can help it since I already have a Qi charger. In case I have to PMA what charger is decent?

There aren't a lot of PMA charger options, to be honest. Most of them are pretty much a slab of plastic flat on your desk kind of things.

As for whether you need to switch to PMA, I know the charging back AT&T sells for their G4 is PMA, but I'm not entirely sure if you can buy a Qi one elsewhere and use it with it or not.

AT&T has invested heavily in PM, they would not offer Qi. It would literally take money out of their pockets.
Unfortunately, AT&T and PM seems to be the "Sony and Betamax" of the wireless world.

Since I bought this a Best Buy do you think it would allow for both types of charging even though its an ATT branded phone?

What I really want to know is what other options do we have if we DO NOT want to go the way of the circle folio case??

Sorry, doesn't matter where you bought the phone. It is still a AT&T phone.
I am guessing that there will be PMA stickers (or there are already)....

Not really true. The AT&T Galaxy S6 supports either, and the S6 Active, which is an AT&T Exclusive phone, is Qi only.

Thanks for the info. I ordered a Qi sticker, but if I have to I will give the case an option. It's just such an expensive route, since I will have to butcher it as soon as I confirm if works on my Qi chargers

Well I had a very interesting conversation with an LG rep over chat yesterday.... The first guy was clueless and really had no business trying to answer basic questions about his products. I asked if I could speak to another rep or manager and within seconds he had "transferred" me to a new person. I should of screenshotted this....(scratches head) but I had him confirm that in fact the ATT variant will work with either charging method!! I was very clear with my questions so I don't think he could of possibly been confused...

Trust me, they can. I have experienced from both sides of the table.

I purchased the Qi and NFC sticker replacement for my AT&T LG G4 and I can now charge it wirelessly! I was reading a lot of conflicting information about Qi charging an AT&T LG G4 but having no issues here.

Could you post a link to the exact sticker that you bought? I ordered one and I want to make sure that I got the right one.

forums won't let me post the link b/c of my low post count

on aliexpress the listing is titled "Wireless Charging Receiver NFC IC Chip for LG G4 Battery Housing Back Cover Case-T01" and the seller is "MobileMate Arena". it's listed for $8.99

-getting the sticker to line up with the contact points is tricky
-easiest was to place sticker over the contacts with the adhesive backing removed and then replace the rear shell so it sticks into place
-had to add a piece of electricians tape under the contact point of the sticker so that it made a better connection with the battery

Purchased a Qi sticker for my G4 AT&T variant and it will not work. Researched the issue and according to the the AT&T website, it will only support the PMA standard.

Does anyone know if there is a PMA charging sticker available for purchase? I read about just buying the Quick Circle folio case and transferring the sticker to a back case of my choice, but that is too expensive at around $50.

UPDATE: Qi Wirelss charging sticker DOES work with LG G4 variant. fiddled around with the sticker and taped it directly to the contacts instead of trying to position it to the back cover through trial and error. Works like a charm.
