Attachment Photos Saving Automatically to Gallery

I've noticed that attachment photos are automatically saving to my photo gallery when opened. I was looking at my "all photo" album in photo gallery and saw several photos that I know I didn't take with my camera but remembered seeing them in an attachment I opened. I did a test, opened an attachement with a jpg, and it automatically saved to my "all photos" album. Since I'd opened the attachment before, now there are two duplicate photos in the album. I've looked at different settings and don't see anyway to keep this from happening. How can I stop photos from saving automatically when opening an attachment?

Gallery displays all pictures on your phone. When you open an attachment, it downloads & stores in your SD card's "download" folder. Delete them from this folder if you don't want your spouse/mom to find them accidently.
