audio quality issues

Hey guys,
I'm hoping that someone can help me with an issue that I have been having. I listen to Podcasts all day and whenever I'm actively doing something on my phone while listening I get a ton of random hiss and pop noises that I don't remember having on stock eb13.

Anyone know if I can do something about it? It happens across several podcasting programs and is most noticable when I unlock my phone and put the screen to sleep. It's also happened across several different roms including ace 1.7. Is it time to odin back to stock and reflash?

Do you have a lot of other things running when this happens? When I'm listening to BeyondPod, if I'm downloading new podcasts and have other applications running in the background I can pauses and skips as well (on EB13).

Yes it definitely gets worse when I have a lot of things running, seems to do it on a fresh boot too though. I wonder if the voodoo sound stuff might actually fix it, have yet to load a rom that has it baked in though.
