Audio Recording?

Is the "Voice" Recorder in the Samsung Notes, the best option on the Note8 to record any audio?

I am trying to get a recording of the music director at our church to use at home, and I wanted to know if this is the best option to do it?

Once it's recorded, can I export it as an MP3 and burn it to a CD for playback on a stereo system?

How would I go about doing that with the note8 or is there a good app for this?

Hi,

Typically, most recording apps will save to mp3, which you can export the file, using the file manager app. I'm not totally familiar with Samsung, but file managers, either native or third party have a search function, so if the file is hard to find, use search in the file manager. As for exporting, there are many ways to do this, but a quick way is to email it to yourself, then retrieve it on your computer. When you email yourself, tap the paperclip, or menu for attachments, tap that, and a context menu should give you the option to find file in the file manager app amongst other options. Once you locate the file, tap that to add to your email.

Download Samsung Voice Recorder from app store. It's a Samsung app. It used to come installed by default but not anymore. Amazing app.

You know, if your stereo is new enough, you might get the audio Chromecast dongle, and then just broadcast the mp3 from phone to stereo directly. Or use Chromecast for TV to do the same. Lastly, you could plug phone into TV, or stereo using a corded method. A separate dongle might be needed here too. However, smart TV you can cast directly to via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
