When you hit volume up/down on my XZ1 Compact it just alters/displays the Media volume...even when you're on the homepage and there's no media playing or media player open.

Is there a way for it to alter/display the ring/notification by default, and only alter/display media volume when media is playing?

Thanks.

Have you looked for the option in the settings? My S10 has an option that must be enabled to change the controls from what you want to what you have, perhaps yours will have the opposite control setting...? You should be able to find all volume options by typing "volume" into your settings search bar.

Nah, no such luck. After I couldn't find anything in settings I went on the Sony support chat (avail in settings) and was told that this is a feature of the Pie 9.0 OS and can't be changed.

That sucks, darn Sony. Lol. There's might be an app that will open a panel with all of your volume settings. I know on my old HTC I could touch the volume button and either see just the volume I wanted to adjust or all of them, which was sometimes a pain.
