August security update for AT&T

just got mine. I'm really excited to see a security update from Samsung come out for the month it was issued. really exciting. hope this continues. makes me feel better about buying the new note.

Received my update this evening. Now I find that the face recognition isn't working. I've reset the saved face scan and checked all settings with no success.

Mine has been like that for months. But I think it's because I have a beard and it grows so the phone struggles to authenticate my face.

Even if your face is registered with the beard? I have a goatee and up to the update the face recognition worked great.

Yeah even though. I guess it might struggle since it grows. Goatee doesn't change your appearance as much as a long beard

I checked my AT&T S9 for updates and it says up to date, and I'm still on the June patch. What can I do?

It's strange but sometimes it takes a little longer for the update to hit certain regions. I've had this happen once before. Everyone was talking about the update and I hadn't received it yet. I'd hang tight for a little while and you'll probably get it. Or you can try calling and having them manually push the update to your device. I'm pretty sure that's what I ended up doing.

But the weird thing is I'm not only one update behind, but 2. I feel that something is not right, as when the June update came out I got it right away. I never got the July patch, or August...
