Auto App Updates in Market don't seem to work - Droid X Froyo 2.2

I was all excited once we Droid X owners got Froyo a few weeks ago to have my apps auto-updated from the market. I've never seen it happen though. I have it enabled in the settings and have notifications enabled. Yet every time I go to downloads there's a few updates, and I have to manually do them. I have auto-update checked for all apps. Am I missing something here? Thanks!
