auto brightness problem

with auto brightness on and being in the dark has anyone experience violet color effect while scrolling in a conversation. i experience this with a black background in the conversation, tried changing my background to white and everything is fine.

This is a known occurrence with screen on low brightness and amoled.

Definately not just your unit. The amount of purple seen on low brightness varies from amoled to amoled though. Mine may only show a little purple at lowest brightness setting while yours may show much more. My family has 2 Note 3's on our account and the difference between the two screens is pretty amazing. I wish amoled was more consistent.

mind only shows up on the messaging app with black background and on the notifications.

Probably because the background was really dark so the purple tint is visible?
