These features might be helpful or convenient for some people but I can't stand them. It appears my replacement phone comes with these automatically enabled and my daughter and husband have often receive phone calls from me accidentally as well as some work people. I had to go back in and disable these by sliding the button. I wish there was a way to permanently do this so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

It happened on my original no date several times as well and I'm pretty sure it happened after I shut both options off I don't know if it's a glitch and they turn their self back on or what.

Always liked the raise to call option. I can see how the swipe feature could get accidentally activated if phone is moving around in pocket, etc.

What carrier?

Neither was enabled on my Verizon note by default.

Perhaps your carrier enables these by default to drive revenue.

TMobile. I text far more than call. When I call it's usually either on bluetooth in the car or at home on speakerphone. I think it's good now. I'll probably periodically check to make sure it doesn't revert back.

I had the revert back issue happen with a different setting in the S8+ I had before this phone - when I'd shut off Samsung Voice to make Google Voice the default for voice texting. For me, Google Voice just works much much better and is more accurate. It liked to revert back a few times.
