auto calling

when i am already on a call/ talking to some person, the phone automatically calls another person putting on hold the current call. sometimes the call goes to the same person on ongoing call too?? How to avoid this "auto" calling by phone?

while on call, automatically the call goes into "hold" mode, how to avoid that
