I saw a reference to Auto Hotspot which supposedly lets you take calls from your tab 7+ but can't see how to do it on my tab. I have the wifi only version directly from Sammy

I don't have the S7 but I believe you need a compatible Samsung phone to use that feature.

For that particular function, taking calls, it is in the Advanced Features of the settings. Turn on Call & Text on Other Devices on both your tablet and your Samsung phone.

Auto Hotspot is something different. It let's you connect to your smartphones network without touching your phone to turn on Hotspot specifically. The link below should help explain.

Would be nice if Samsung used the instant tethering feature from Google instead. Some people don't use a Samsung phone with their tablet...

I have the unlocked on the Verizon network and it works fine. Sucks that carrier phone does not.
