Auto reconnect with Galaxy watch and Note 9

I'm seeing similar questions but not exact. I have a Note9 and a Galaxy watch. Is there any way to have it automatically reconnect when i get back in range? This never was an issue before and only over the last couple weeks do i have to force the reconnect.

Mine has been doing the same with my note9. The watch recently had an update r800xxu1cse1.

I turned on debugging and I may do a reset of the watch. I don't have any other Bluetooth issues with my note.

My husband has an S9 and a Gear3 watch that was having the same problem. He just turned off his bluetooth, restarted his watch, turned bluetooth back on and no more issues. I figured I'd give it a whirl and I've reconnected automatically all day with no issues.

Has there been any new info on this? I tried everything i can find and i still have this issue.
Sometimes it will reconnect but 90% of the time it will not until i force it.
Note 9 with all updates done and Galaxy watch 46mm on latest soft too.
