Auto rotate not working for stock phone app

So i was messing around with Daydream mode yesterday and after not seeing any real benefit to me for using it, i disabled it.
Soon afterwards when i went to make a call, i noticed the dialer screen was staying portrait. The same with all other screens for the phone app i.e. contacts, favorites etc.
Browser, Messaging and all other apps will go Landscape, just not the stock phone app. I did install and then uninstalled Rocket Dialer last week, but all seemed fine till yesterday.
I really think messing with Daydream screwed the pooch on this one.

Here is what i have done so far:
Unchecked auto rotate, rebooted phone and rechecked auto rotate.
Cleared Cache following these instructions from Moto's site. https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/95478/p/30,6720,8882/kw/clear%20cache
Uninstalled Nova Launcher at the request of a motorola chat support person.
Motorola support wants to Log into my phone to see what they can do, but im a little leery of that and while i may call them when they open in an hour or so, im not so sure ill let them log into my phone remotely.

Anyone else have a similar issue? I also noticed that none of my apps will allow the phone to go portrait 180 degrees from the normal talking position. Dont remember if this was the case before or not. Can someone check and let me know.

OK all these views and no one can tell me if they are able to rotate their phone and have the portrait display in both directions?
It seems that you need Nova (or another launcher) to be able to have the desktop display in Landscape mode.

Just got off phone with level 2 Motorola support. They had be boot into Safe Mode. (hold power button down when phone is on)
Still had same issue with dialer screen not rotating.
They had me download a remote control app by motorola in the Play store and he had a look around and didnt find anything.
I knew it was going to come to this, but their last resort is to do a factory restore. I dont have time to do that right now and may later on.
Funny they couldnt tell me if the dialer is supposed to go landscape, i know im not loosing it here and that it was rotating fine till yesterday.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HAVE A LOOK AT THEIR DIALER AND THEN ROTATE THERE PHONE TO SEE IF THE DIALER GOES INTO LANDSCAPE MODE. ALSO TURN IT 180 DEGREES WITH THE CAPACITIVE BUTTONS FACING UP AND LET ME KNOW IF THE IMAGE CHANGES.

Mine is exactly like yours. Phone app stays in portrait and will not show portrait if the phone is upside down. I suspect that is all normal.

Mine stays the same. Dialer does NOT go landscape. I'm fine with that.

The dialer doesn't rotate and hasn't in any Android phone I've ever owned if I recall correctly. Motorola once again shows you can't ask for technical support through their support or any other support for that matter.

Hard to believe that i was able to view in landscape mode for the last 3 weeks since i got the phone and now i cant. How bizzare...
I installed exDialer and it has the ability to go landscape, still some conflicts with the stock dialer to work out, but it may do the trick.
My Droid X went Landscape as well, but that was with a custom ROM i cant remember if it did it stock.
My apologies for the using all caps in my earlier post, my frustration got the better of me. Thanks to all for replying.

Thanks techitrucker that worked great! I ditched exdialer and back to the stock dialer. It'll even rotate portrait in both orientations.
