auto rotate on home screen

on my G1, the home screen auto rotated like every other screen. on my N1, it does not. is this expected?

my G1 was running a custom ROM, so i understand that home screen auto rotate may have been hack.

I think it only rotated on your G1 because you had a physical kb and thats probably why it also rotates on the droid and the moment. However, when I used to have a mt3g, my screen never rotated unless I was in the browser or in a text message and even then the phone only rotated when I rotated the phone into landscape.

Does the Nexus have a landscape keyboard or only the portrait?

I dont think i've seen anything showing one landscape at all.

yes, it auto rotates everywhere except the home screen and has both portrait and landscape on-screen keyboards.

too bad about the home screen. i actually like that feature. if i'm using an app in landscape, it's annoying to have to physically rotate the phone when i go back to the home screen.

i'm sure somebody will develop something to change that if google doesnt first.
