Auto rotate only works on you tube

Hi. After a factory reset, my xperia e3 is only auto rotating in the you tube app. It does not auto rotate at any other time and is turned on in the quick settings. Any thoughts?

Welcome to Android Central! Moved to the E3 forum. What other apps have you tested the auto-rotate on? The browser? Remember, of course, that the homescreen typically doesn't rotate.

Thanks for your reply. It does not work in any other app whatsoever. Including the browser.

I was going to suggest testing the phone's sensors, but if Auto-Rotate actually works in YouTube, then we know that they must work. You could try repairing the device's firmware using PC Companion: SONY Xperia E3 D2203 - How to Hard Reset my phone - HardReset.info. Be aware that this might wipe the phone, so make sure your data is backed up or synced.
