auto rotate stops working

Auto rotate works for awhile then stops. A reboot fixs it. Any ideas how to fix it?

It happened to me too. Then I found out it was temple run. I stopped playing it and the auto rotates works all the time without reboot

I do not use temple run, maybe it is some other app I have installed.

Mine was doing it before I had temple run and my father's Maxx does it too and he doesn't have temple run. I was hoping this last update would fix it.

I did some more research and someone noticed when autorotate stopped working the compass app would spin erratically so I downloaded it and in the start up process indicated calibration was needed. The next time auto rotate stops I will try calibration in the compass app to if fixes the problem since the accelerometer is used for both.

i had this happen to me a few months ago. in my case rebooting didnt work so i had to do a hard reset back to factory. fixed it for a while but when i does it a reboot clears it up.

If reboot doesn't work try turning the device off and pull the SIM. Replace the SIM after 15 seconds and turn the phone on. I too have this ongoing problem and called VZW and the CS gave me this band aid.
I think everyone who has this problem should call and report it. Maybe then they will come up with a real fix for it.
