Hello, I noticed an issue with my Tab s7, I have a book cover that when closed the screen turns off as it should but I can't turn it back on unless I restart my device, when I disable the "auto screen on" feature in the device's settings nothing of the sorts happens except that I have to manually turn the screen on and off when using the cover. The issue doesn't affect any other case where the device goes to sleep like when the screen times out or I manually put the device to sleep using an app.
Any reason why this feature is malfunctioning?

Turns out my device's proximity sensor isn't working at all, I probably got a defective device so I will be returning it to the store.

Yeah sounds like it:( let us know how you make out .

I am not sure whether the cover closing feature depends on the proximity sensor or a magnet, however when I sent it back it turned out indeed that something was wrong with the device they gave to me, they were not able to fix it so they gave me another replacement device and it doesn't have the same issue with the cover.
Took them a while though to do that though, I only got the device a couple days ago, they said there was a shortage of said device.
