Auto-update apps on my LG V20 doesn't work?

[Android Central Question]

LG-V20 with 8.0 installed and up to date. I have apps set to auto-update over any mode (have also tried over wi-fi only) but THE APPS NEVER automatically update. I always have to update them manually.

Hi. Welcome to the forum. Go to settings, apps, play store and clear the cache. See if they auto update after a refresh. Also check your play store settings to ensure you have enabled auto update.

Try clearing data,cache ,force stop play store and use auto again see if that helps

Welcome to Android Central! How long are you waiting? I think sometimes there can be a delay between when the app update becomes available and when the phone decides to auto-update.

Also, do you have any power-saving modes turned on? And make sure the Play Store app isn't Battery Optimized in the system settings.
