Auto updating date(not time) and I'm not getting incoming text messages

My Samsung Galaxy Note3 is auto updating the date to the next day (not the time though), even when I disable the auto-updating function it switched back after a little while? I'm not getting incoming text messages and no one is getting my messages, but I can send Snapchats. I don't mess with the date and time ever and I haven't done anything out of the usual on my phone at all (text, call, browse social media), this just happened suddenly so I'm really confused?

Bring the phone into your carrier. Auto update is supposed to be getting the date and time from the cell tower, so they could have a problem at the tower.
