Autofocus/Camera Problem

Hi everyone, I'll get right to the point.

The past week or two, I've noticed a HUGE drop in the quality of pictures on my Droid. I was really happy with things before, but at this point EVERYTHING is coming up incredibly blurry. It seems that the camera is no longer even trying to focus when I take a picture.

I've tried playing with settings. I've tried taking pictures using the button on the screen and the dedicated camera button on the side of the case. I've tried cleaning the lens. I've even tried a few restarts, as well as uninstalling every other camera app I downloaded (FXCamera). I'm all out of ideas.

Has anyone else had a similar issue? Or, better yet, can anyone out there give any suggestions for how to correct this? Thanks VERY MUCH in advance for any help.

I was gonna recommend to clean the camera lens since thats what causes a lot of issues for the Droid.

Umm try this (idk if it will do anything).
Settings> Applications> Manage Applications
Then hit the Menu button, select Filter, then select ALL
Find the Camera and select it (might be two)
Clear Data, then Force Stop
Do the same if theres more than 1 Camera app

Win?

Thanks for the suggestion. Just tried that and didn't really notice any difference. It's still not even making an effort to autofocus like it used to.

Ahh well..
Let me look into the problem and see if theres anything I can do..

Thanks again J. Please let me know if you've come up with anything. I've been searching this and other forums for a couple days now and haven't found anything helpful.

Yea been searching since yesterday.
What firmware version are you running (2.1, 2.0.1, 2.0)?

I'm running version 2.1 of android.
As did the camera settings, I have everything on auto that can be, and super fine and 3m for the others. Thank you!
