Android Central Question

Hi all,

I already have a flow with Automate and TouchTask to lock my phone when I swipe one finger down on the desktop. It is done with automate and Nova Launcher that allows me to execute the Automate FLow when I swipe down.

Is there a way (I'm not so good with automate) to make a FLow that works not with Nova (because it works only on the desktop) but everywhere --> in an app or settings or wherever. so when I swipe down with 2 fingers for example, it locks my screen.

Anyone has an idea?

Many thanks in advance!!

Sorry, I don't have an answer, but rather a question. Wouldn't pressing the power button accomplish this?

Pressing the power button would, but some people prefer to not risk overusing hardware buttons.

As for the original question, Secure Settings lets you lock the screen, but you'd have to find a plugin that detects a 2 finger swipe (I've never looked for one because I don't do much swiping, and swipe up is part of Nova).

You should look after an application that let you add edge gestures. So it will not be a swipe down from the middle but instead a gesture (be it a swipe) from an edge.

There are quite a lot of apps (mainly not free) that can do this. You'll have to check which one allows you to lock the screen either by its own or through Automate help.

I'm currently using Edge Gestures but it's only for left / right edge (and I'm using it mainly for a "go back"). There is also T Swipe Gestures that I installed for my aunt and this one allow for top and bottom edges also.
