automatic dark mode/light mode switching?

Is there a way to do this on the pixel 3? Samsung phones and the iPhone has it but in settings I can only find a way to manually toggle it.

Have you checked developer settings?
Samsung you can schedule

Individual apps will do it. Reddit will change automatically at night orin battery saver mode. I haven't found an automatic setting for the phone itself.
