automatic downloading

This is a noob type question, but I am not a noob.

I flash my phone with new roms all the time....well about once a month. Everytime I do, it automatically starts the downloading of apps. I know there is a simple way....I don't pickk any of the verizon backups check boxes.

I would rather just restore my APKS and Data from my "My Backup Pro" backup. There are apps I don't use anymore that I uninstall, but when I reflash they get downloaded again.

I have unlimited data, so I am not worried about my data usage.

Same situation here.
(I'm liking the current infected rom with Go Launcher BTW).

Anyway, when you first set it up, and you enter your Google login, there is a question something about letting Google keep you up to date. If you check the box yes, it loads you up with everything. Messy. I forget the exact name of the check box, but uncheck it.
