Automatic prompt for navigation gps software not prompting in google app anymore for Maps vs Copilo?

I have an S6 Active samsung.. and this has just happened, even after a phone wipe..

It used to be.. when you'd be in the google app, search results.. if looking up a business/address.. if you clicked the location symbol it would then prompt to choose either Google Maps or Copilot as the app to use and you could also set it to always..

This no longer happens..

Anyone else notice this or find a workaround?

They have recently updated that and now there is no option to choose. Once you have selected on it is now the default one.

Settings > Default Applications > Clear for whichever app it is opening by default is your best bet.

There is the option to go to google maps, clear defaults, but back in google search, click the location icon, it still auto opens google maps, not giving a prompt. This is unfortunate.
