Samsung OS has an option in its settings to automatically delete shared screenshots. I have mine turned on, but it never deletes the screenshot after it is shared. Anyone else get this to work or have the same issue as me?

Well I just turned it on to test it and it worked for me. Has it never worked for you or did this just start not working?

The only thing I can think that would prevent this from working would be one of two things;

I shared mine from the little popup that appears as soon as I took the photo. When I tried to share it from the Google Photos gallery it did not delete the photo.

The other thing I was thinking was it may not delete the photo if you have opted to backup your Screenshot folder.

Are you sharing it from the popup?

Do you have that folder set to backup automatically?

ok. I always share from the pop up that appears on mine also. The only folder set to sync/backup to OneDrive is my Camera.

You're saying this and you're saying that even when sharing from the pop-up it still won't delete the photos?

You mention OneDrive, have you checked your Google Photo settings as well?

Do you have any gallery apps that you downloaded? How are you viewing photos on your device, what app?

I solved it. I generally screen shot, and then hit the option to crop it to what I am looking to send. when you do that it doesn't automatically delete afterwards. kind of stupid, but whatever.

Nah that seems right. Guess that was a question we forgot to ask. But it makes sense that it would need to put the image somewhere beyond a cache to edit.

Well thanks for the update. At least now if someone else finds your thread with the same question there's an answer and that helps everyone.
