Its a sad day when I find out the Avast discontinued the root method the make the app hard reset proof. Honestly now I am going to have to shop around for an alternative.
Does anyone know how to make a app like Avast's hard reset proof? I want any thief who gets my phones to have a brick unless they return it. I liked that a hard reset did not disable or remove Avast.... reason I paid for the upgrade. I have heard of cerberus but the reviews are turning me away from it. I want something that I can actively use. YES my phone has full root access!
Is it possible to just move the Avast app into a protected directory of the rom, you know like all the bloatware the carriers install on your phone? I just dont know how to ensure that the settings also survive when you copy it to the /system directory. I have been searching for sometime now and have yet to find a tutorial with step by step directions.
I'd love to just make the Avast app part of the system but I dont know android that well.
Honestly I want this to be a head ache for a thief, I dont want a simple copy to sd card I want everything on the phones internal memory. Please help.
