what is the average battery life on the razor with a lot of texting, mp3 playback and a lot of emailing?
I have the bionic with the extended battery and while I like the looks of the razor, im thinking that the bionic with the extended battery may be better for longer use..

I make it all day with no issues. When I say all day I mean 8am-6pm. It could easily last longer, but I put it in the dock on the way too and from work so it gets some juice for about 30 minutes.

I had the bionic with an extended battery. I would have to say its about 60% better.

mine comes off the charger at 5:30am, and goes back on most days around 10pm. At that time, I usually still have 30-40% left.

Phone is still new, so playing with it a lot, and it does take awhile to achieve maximum battery life from conditioning.

How in the world are you guys getting this insane battery life?!?! I mean that so seriously. I am maxing out at 6-7 hours. I don't have access to wifi at all. I barely play with my phone and it drains like crazy. No texting. Light browsing. One or two short calls and this bad boy is dead by 1 or 2 after removing it from charger at 8am. I definitely know how to conserve battery but nothing helps. Tried with 4g off too. Even with smart actions turning cell data and syncing off with screen off. Definitely not too happy but KNOW I should be able to get better life out of this phone. What is the trick here?

Personally I hate turning off cell data or syncing bc I miss notifications or emails that are important.

I would never turn off syncing or anything like that. Honestly I wonder if you have a bad device?

Here's what I would do. Wait until the phone is about 10 days old, and then go exchange it. After 10 days the store is certain to be on a new batch of phones, and you will still have a few days to test. I took the phone off the charger at 5:45 AM. It was on the car charger for about 10 minutes from about 7:05-7:15. I've made calls, emails, text, browsed the Web, etc...and I'm at 90% battery. It's 11:36am. Most days I leave the office with more than 50% left.

Have you added any apps? About the only thing I do to conserve power is to turn off the vibrate when typing. I do turn off wifi during the day while at work, using smart actions.

I'm not streaming or using my phone continuously either.

Well unfortunately I can't return it since it was upgraded on another line and then activated on mine. They took away all liberties I had, sad to say. Guess if it is bad I am stuck with Motorola warranty only.

I truly believe it might just be a bad device or the fact cell data drains the battery more than it should.

I had to disable background sync while my screen is off and enable when the screen is on in smart actions. Two separate actions. I use exchange email set to push, and simply tap the power button to check for new mail. Phone on overnight and my battery only dropped 4% using circle widget.

Just give it to the person who owns the line it was upgraded on and have them exchange it. That shouldn't make any difference. It is still a new device, within 14 days of purchase.

I use cell data too, and my battery rocks.
