Judging from a few different posts, it seems like 2.0 might be something that I can get on my Urbane when it gets back from LG?

I kind of want to see how it plays out. I'm not especially excited with a lot of the new features. I'm actually considering avoiding an update for as long as possible, but if I could test it out and go back, then I might give it a shot.

The app menu and the brightness settings are really annoying. An okay option that has a superior alternative with Wear Mini Launcher is being replaced with a worse option that is even more inferior.

It's a very early alpha build and a lot of stuff don't work. There is no sense to test it now (if you want to know something, read posts from those already tried). I'd wait until the final release.

Aye - agreed. It is interesting for a look but far from usable at its current stage of development.

I've been running it since release day... a couple quirks ... worst one is offline music deletes itself if your phone has an SD card.... but otherwise it's growing on me.

Battery life is better on non 2.0 builds.
Cell and GPS seem the same.
2.0 can be laggy at times
Some apps cause FC on 2.0
2.0 keyboard works great. The knly reason I keep it on.
Voice on 2.0 is very very hit or miss. Sometimes it works but mostly don't count on it.
2.0 vibrations are weaker also.

Overall I like where Google is going with it I just want them to get rid of the quick change watch face...it's annoying and bring back theatre mode.

There should be alpha2 or beta 1 depending how they name it coming quite soon. Usually it's 6 weeks after each release there is a new one.

If I were you I'd wait for that one.

I'm using it. One of the watch faces I had sent it into a loop of crashes for Android Wear.
I had to do a factory reset. Now all good and using it with Wear Mini Launcher.
No issues other than the watch face.... So far anyway.

How is wear mini launcher on 2.0? Most of the new features are better now with WML. It's why I am considering avoiding the update

They got rid of theater mode?

I can't find it.
Also MWL works fine under 2.0.
After a full day with 2.0. I don't think I'll be going back.
The one watch face I use, works great. Notifications are much better.
The preview works fine as my daily driver.
My only real complaint is that I'd like to be able to dump the 2.0 quick settings panel/screen.
I don't use it and it doesn't allow me to customize it.

I also use it as daily driver. There are a few quirks but other than the quick change watch face feature, I like it. I also have an Asus Zenwatch 2 which is on the old version so I just switch in between them. Hoping a new build comes out soon.

I installed it and have played with it for an hour. Much improved on the little things....menus, speed ect. I'm really seeing some good stuff in the 2nd build and see where Google is headed. It's not bad at all.

I plan to install it tomorrow. I forgot to bring my power cord to work so I could do it while I'm here.

Yeah I have to agree but I am also seeing more issues at the same time.

ok google will not work at all now (most likely need a new android wear app update for 2.0, hope this comes soon)
Cellular connectivity keeps just shutting off and not coming back, requires a factory reset to fix. (let me know if this is just my watch please)
LCD likes to go black and freeze. Happens on any watchface. Holding in power button for reset is needed.
Still can't turn off WiFi, it always turns itself right back on.

The good.

Audible feedback was added, can't get it to work yet because no OK google though but the option is there.
New settings menu is nice. But Vibration intensity etc are grayed out and I can't use them. Maybe they only work in standalone?
Notifications feel cleaner.
Graphics for notifications have a flat tire built into them now. Kinda upsetting. But they do it on top and bottom so it looks decent.
Now shows the time while the watch is booting. A very nice feature.
Ambient notifications seem better.
Notifications no longer get "stuck" when swiping away.

That's all I have for now. Haven't had the most time to play with it. I may try a reflash of the radio tonight to maybe fix my connectivity issues, but I will wait for others replies before I do.

I use "Okay Google" after I push the crown on my Urbane 2.
I always have cellular off. I only use cell in an emergency, but when I turn it on it stays on.
No problem with my display going black and freezing.
For wifi I enabled developer mode and then turn off automatic WiFi.
Auto WiFi is on and you need to be a developer to turn it off.

Did they by any chance bring back the old functionality where my watch could be connected to my BT headset, but it could still show me who is calling on my cellphone?

Seeing the caller on my watch was the single most useful feature that they took away through an update :(

I will just have to think about it. I'm still really hesitant. Too many bad changes.

The side button is mostly decorative now. The double tap for theater mode is one of the best features ever and almost the only reason I use the button. The quick shortcut screen is stupid, unnecessary, and seriously inferior to MWL. And the app drawer is another wasteful change. Again inferior to MWL and having two app drawers is also a waste. And I'm not sure if they were removing Ok Google or not, but that would be another negative for me.

On the flip side, keyboard, responses, and the notifications are the only positives.

Not exactly much incentive for me to upgrade, though I am sure that I will get stuck with it eventually.
