Awaking your phone

My Evo goes to "sleep" after 1 minute of idleness per my screen settings. When I want to "wake" it up I press the power button. Is there any other way to "awaken" the phone other than the power button? A lot of other touch screen phones "re-awaken" by just touching the screen (Pre, iPhone, Moment,etc.). Can this be done with the Evo as well, maybe through a setting, root or available app?

I use this app and it still will not wake with a screen touch. But it will wake with the Volume buttons.

In my opinion I do not want it to wake with a screen touch. If it does what is the point of going to sleep?

Use can also try Widget Locker, which has far more customization then No lock.
