so i just checked galaxy s6 gpu benchmark and it sounds like the upgraded mali is not upgraded at all , it did lose so bad against lg flex2 when it comes to onscreen test which i think is the test we should care about (not offscreen one) since it runs on a device's native resolution , iam a so disappointed as i care too much about high end games which in this case will be laggy :(
btw this is the Manhattan test

lol seriously ! fyi iam one of whom u ppl call 'samsung fan' and actually iam so impressed with all spec nd staff that s6 brings and i was ready to buy the phone once it's released but with scores like these ( which u should've blamed not me ) i have to re think, unless u know something i don't know

I don't think there is a reason to cry or to be dissappointed. The point is that S6 has a 2K display, which requires a lot of GPU power. It would be reasonably to compare to Note4(Note Edge) and G3 from this table. Look, onscreen Manhattan test plays native resolution, so if you have 2k screen it would play 2k test. That is also a reason why iPhone 6 is so ahead. But, IMHO, it is not a problem. Let's take GTA San Andreas, it is played on Note4 as smooth as on iPhone 6 because SA doesn't have any 2k of even 1080p textures and HD textures are easily upscaled by Note4 GPU without frame rate drop. There would be the same situation with GS6 I think.

PS: some enthusiasts managed to change resolution on G3 from 2k to FHD, this app might be compatible with S6 a well and than it would be the key to success.

do u think that galaxy note 5 may contain a newer gpu? in this case i might wait for note 5, will we be able to see new gpus this year either from arm or qualcom?

i can't post links but u can check 'gfxbench' site , u may be right we have to wait for the final units

If you are pushing twice the pixels wouldn't the GPU score be lower. Compare it to similarly spec'd screens like the G3, Note 4 to the S6.

regardless of comparison, a lag-free 3d app on this particular device only matters, can u guarantee me that ?
