Back is peeling

I noticed that by my USB input, my nexus 9 is peeling. It seems the soft touch coating over the plastic is coming off. At first I was skeptical, then I notice a corner has the same issue. I'm sure this will get much worse over time. It looks like there is just hard black plastic underneath it, but I am scared to pull it off alltogether. Anyone else have this issue?

Sorry, I don't have a pic. It hasn't spread since I originally posted this. I wet the edges that were peeling and they are stuck down now. This is not a long term solution.

I talked with googles nexus dept and I had 15 days to return it for a full refund or 1 year to claim under the limited warranty through HTC. I will wait for now. It just runs too well with the R lollipop update.
