I ordered the third wave of Nexus 4s so still have a few months left of my warranty. If anything were to happen, do you think Google stocked up on enough Nexus 4s to send out as replacements? They won't make me pay the difference for the Nexus 5 or anything right?

I'm sure they would have a few lying around or would fix your device. I would't worry about it. Quite often replacement phones are actually refurbished. I just received a monitor replacement from Dell and it is refurbished. The monitor looks and performs like brand new in every way. A replacement phone would need to live up to your standards or they would have to replace that so I think you will be fine.

Thanks for the response, I hope that would be the case (enough Nexus 4s). I remember talking to Google customer service once and they assured me that Google does not do refurbished and only send out new ones for replacements. Anyways I doubt I will need to use my warranty

This is what they also told me as well.
