Background Colors

Am I the only one that finds the black background in the email and text accounts hideous? And why wouldnt they have an option to set it to white?

Also, does anyone know why I cant open email picture attachments sent from the phone?

Well, hideous is subjective but battery life is not. The screen on this phone uses less electricity to display black.

Black save power and lets you battery last longer.

The SAMOLED Plus display uses almost no power to show black because the LEDs are turned off. Typical LCD displays filter out light but the LCD backlight is always on. So blacks may appear dark gray with reduced contrast.
