backing up contacts

All my contacts are on my Verizon cloud, which I'm not too crazy about. How do I get these contacts sent to my Google cloud? Getting them from vzw was a terrible pain when I get my turbo.

If they're all in your phone now, just go to your Contacts app and tap the menu button. There should be an option to Move Contacts to somewhere else, in this case, your Google account.

I'll have to do it via the web browser, because on this phone I can only export to local or SIM ( which gives me an error). Thanks!

Also make sure you go into the phone settings and scroll down to your google account and make sure that you have sync enabled and have contacts checked so google backs them up
