Backing up game Data

I have a bunch of games on my phone and I need to back up my game data so I do not lose my place when I get a new phone. It seems as though all the back up apps I am finding just back up the game only. What is the best way to do this? Thank you

I've heard Helium can do this, but I haven't had first hand experience with it because it isn't compatible with the Motorola phone I wanted to use it on. That's the only way I'm familiar with without rooting the phone. If you are rooted, Titanium Backup is one of the most recommended.

I've used titanium backup to back up my progress in games before doing a factory reset on my phone. You can also check if the games have a cloud save option so when you log in the game restores itself.
